DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL REPORT
Fourteen dedicated coaches turned out for the Small Whites Coaching Course on Thursday 7th of May at the Greenhithe School Hall. The evening was full of information on how to coach very young players. The course confirmed that the training sessions which the coaches have been doing are in line with the United Soccer 1 guidelines and all the coaches need to do is fine tune their skills and coaching methods to pass onto the players.
The improvement in the basic skills is starting to show in the midget games and players. The older grades are also showing improvement with Hadleigh Bickle from the 10th Panthers and Taylor Stancombe & Jack Benbow from the 12th Knights invited to attend the United Soccer 1 academy courses this season.
I am sure with the right attitude and approach from all club members towards development within the club we will see a higher standard of skills within the teams. This will lead to greater skills and enjoyment for the players and possibly more will have the opportunity to take their soccer beyond the club level.
Again, don't forget to keep it simple and let the game be the teacher.

FIFA U-17 WOMEN'S WORLD CUP - SPECIAL TICKET OFFERS FOR OUR CLUB
As a member of the Greenhithe Junior Soccer Club, you and your friends and family have the opportunity to purchase discounted ticket packages to the games being played at North Harbour Stadium in October/November of this year. The child ticket packages are only $20 for a total of 6 games (spread over 4 match days) - that's less than $4 per game for a child to watch some of the best young footballers in the world! Tickets to the Final and 3rd/4th place playoff are an additional $10 per child. Adult ticket package prices are $30 and $15 for the Finals and 3/4 playoff.
There are also a few incentives being offered:
- One package FREE for every 10 packages purchased
- Two VIP tickets FREE for the Club for every 50 packages purchased
- If 50 or more packages are sold from our Club the club gets a 10% rebate
