GETTING INVOLVED
The Greenhithe Junior Soccer Club relies upon many people volunteering their time and energy to create an environment for children to enjoy participating in football.
There are many opportunities for parents and families to be actively involved in Club:
Team Coach
You don't have to know much about football to be a Coach! If you enjoy helping children work together as a team and encouraging them to participate and do their best then you can coach! The Club will provide assistance through the Director of Football as well as offering to contribute towards formal United Soccer 1 Coaching Courses.
Click here to visit our Coaches Corner page on this website find out more information.
Team Manager
Every Coach and team needs someone to help them organise the team. Typically the Manager is not afraid to phone the other members of their team to pass on information regarding training, competition games and social occassions!
Team Supporter
Supporting your child while they play football is rewarding for both player and supporter. The Club encourages all family members to get out and show their support from the sideline. All supporters are expected to follow the Clubs "Fairplay Promise for Supporters"
Committee
The Committee consists of a group of like-minded people who can volunteer one evening a month for a meeting leading up to and during the season to discuss the running of the club and organise various club activities. If you are interested in being part of the Committee, please click here to send an email to the Club Chairman.
Friends of the Club
As the club has grown the workload has also increased! From time to time the committee needs assistance from parents and members to help with various small jobs that need to be done, including BBQ Chef at the end of season prizegiving, cleaning out the club storeroom at the end of the year, helping hand out and collect uniforms, etc. If you feel you can spare some of your time please click here to send an email to the Club Secretary. Your name will be added to the "Friends of the Club" and we will contact you as and when required.
